County asking for your pictures to spruce up new website

Binghamton, NY – Broome County Executive Debbie Preston and Broome County Legislator Jason Shaw are asking the people of Broome County for help showing off our community.

Preston has set up a way for people to send in their photographs, which will be posted on the County website.

“We developed this brand new website, and we want to use it to show off the beauty of our community,” says Broome County Executive Debbie Preston.  “We are asking you to send us their photographs, children’s pictures and more to show the outside world what our community has to offer.”

“I'm excited about residents submitting photos of what they find interesting and beautiful about our county,” said County Legislator Jason Shaw. “What better of a way to showcase Broome County than from the people who call it home.”

You are asked to send your submissions to

The pictures will be posted under the visit tab on the new county website at

People are asked to include their name and a caption describing where each picture was taken.

That information will be included on our website as well.

“We want this website to be a tool to showcase Broome County.  What better way to showcase the community than to have the people who live here determine what to showcase,” says Preston.

Photos will be posted to the website every Monday morning and will stay up for the entire week.

By submitting a photo, you are giving the County permission to post it on its website for a week.
