Hawkins Pond Nature Area

Hawkins Pond Nature Area, a Broome County Parks and Recreation facility, offers a secluded nature experience with its plentiful wildlife and wide variety of habitat-types. Approximately 4 miles of nature trails lead visitors through woods and fields and around the scenic 24-acre pond. Hawkins Pond Nature Area is a participant in the Wegman's "Passport to Family Wellness" program. Admission is free.

The adjacent Hawkins Pond State Forest, operated by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, provides an additional 3 miles of trails for walking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. Learn more about Hawkins Pond State Forest at www.dec.ny.gov/lands/8201.html
